How to Make Pressed Flower Vow Folder

Pressed Flower Vow Folder
The friends and family members you’ve chosen to be a part of your wedding are an important part of your life. Present them with a keepsake to commemorate the day they helped make special. This sweet holder is a lovely way for them to carry the poem or passage they’ll read during the ceremony.

Make two more for you and your spouse to carry your wedding vows. With delicate paper or vellum, a few pressed flowers, and silk ribbon, you can transform a few fleeting words into a lasting treasure.

Here are the materials you will need to make one pressed-flower vow holder:
• one 10” X 12” (25.5 X 30.5 cm) sheet of delicate natural-fiber paper or vellum
• one 8 1/2” x 11” (21.5 x 28 cm) sheet of card stock, off white
• one 8 1/2” x 11” (21.5 x 28 cm) sheet of paper, white or color of your choice
• pressed flowers
• length of 5/8” (1.5 cm)-wide silk ribbon
• spray adhesive

STEP 1. Spray the card stock lightly with adhesive. Place the natural-fiber paper or vellum on top of it. Smooth out any bubbles or folds.
STEP 2. Trim the edges of the paper and card so they are even. Fold the two sheets together ¡n half lengthwise.
STEP 3. Handwrite or print out the poem, passage, or vows on a sheet of paper. Be sure to position the writing so that the ribbon won’t obscure the words when it’s tied in place. Fold the paper in half and place it inside the folder.

STEP 4. Pull the ribbon through the center fold and tie it in front of the folder, securing the sheet of writing inside.
STEP 5. Glue small pressed flowers onto the front of the holder. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly.
