Decoupage Table Number Frame

Decoupage Table Number Frame

Table Members should help your guests find their assigned seating, but they can also add a little flair to your table décor. With a quick and clever technique, you can assemble these adorable keepsake decoupage frames.

Choose a style that complements your table’s colors and theme. Invite a few girlfriends over for a craft night to make as many frames as you need a great way to have a laugh with your friends while getting ready for the big day. These frames are so charming, guests will fight over who gets to take one home.

Here are the materials you will need to make one découpage table number frame:

• one small wooden frame, unfinished, approximately 6” x 8” (15 x 20.5 cm), with an opening that is approximately 3" x 41/2” (7.5 x 11.5 cm)
• one card or piece of colored paper, for table number, just slightly larger than the frame opening
• one small sheet of patterned floral paper (a design with large flowers that are easy to cut out works best)
• scissors
• whitewash paint
• decoupage glue
• small paintbrush

STEP 1. Handwrite the table number on the center of the card or colored paper. You can also print the number with your computer and home printer.
STEP 2. Paint the entire frame with whitewash paint. Allow the paint to dry.
STEP 3. Cut out large flower shapes from the patterned paper. Set the flowers aside.
STEP 4. Arrange the paper flowers around the frame.

STEP 5. Working with the decoupage glue and paintbrush, adhere each flower, one at a time, onto the frame. Apply glue liberally until each flower ¡s saturated with glue and attached securely to the frame. Decoupage glue dries clear, so you can use as much as you need it won’t show.
STEP 6. Allow the frame to dry completely. Then insert the table number into the frame opening.
