To Showcase your personal style

Make invitations that go beyond ordinary expectations. Rather than sending a flat card, try making this three dimensional paper-fold card with ribbon wrapper.

It gives your guests all the information they need but does ¡t with extra flair. The color contrast is fresh and contemporary, and the sweet polka-dot ribbon adds a whimsical finish. Your guests will truly be impressed when they open this original and clever design.

Here are the materials you will need to make one folded invitation with ribbon wrapper:

• one 4 1/2” X 6 1/4” (115 x 16 cm) card with rounded corners, natural
• one 5” X 7” (12.5 x 18 cm) pochette folder, cocoa brown
• one 5” x 7” (12.5 x 18 cm) card, light blue
• length of 1 1/2” (4 cm) silk ribbon, light blue
•  length of /8” (1.5 cm) silk ribbon, brown with blue dots
• spray adhesive
• tape

STEP 1. Print your ¡nvitation on the natural card with your color printer or work with your stationer. If you are printing the invitations at home, be sure your card stock is compatible with your home printer.

STEP 2. With spray adhesive, adhere the light blue card to the inside of the pochette folder. Making sure the cards are centered, adhere the small, natural card with printed information to the light blue card.

STEP 3. Folding one side at a time, fold over all four flaps of the pochette folder.

STEP 4. Wrap the wider, blue silk ribbon around the length of the folder. Wrap it tightly enough so it lies flat, Use enough length to create a slight overlap at the ends.

STEP 5. Secure the overlapped ends with a small piece of tape on the back of the folder. (The tape won’t show once you have wrapped the second piece of ribbon.)

STEP 6. Tie the smaller, polka-dot silk ribbon around the blue ribbon. Secure the ends with a loose knot on the front center of the card.
