Fishbowl of Best Wishes

Fishbowl of Best Wishes

Here's a clever take on the traditional guestbook and a cute way to gather bits of advice and best wishes. Cut up decorative papers into small cards that are large enough for your guests to write you a few lines. Choose a variety of paper colors and styles that match your theme or decor.

Drop the cards into a large fishbowl or a deep glass bowl. Set the bowl on a small table in the reception area, with a cup of colored pens or pencils nearby, to encourage guests to dip in. Once you’re home, read a few every day. The glow of your wedding will linger for weeks. Save the cards in a keepsake scrapbook or photo album so you can reread them again and again.
