How to make Button Flower Thank you Note

Button Flower Thank you Note
When friends and Family members come from miles around to celebrate your special day, usuaHy bearing generous gifts, it’s important and polite to thank them properly. Go the extra mile and take the time to create a one of a kind card. Your effort will let them know how much you truly care and appreciate their love and support. Get creative with everyday items, such as coorful or novelty buttons, and your cards will be inexpensive to make and send. (Just be sure to add the right amount of postage.)

Here are the materials you will need to make one button flower thank you note:

• one 3 1/2” x 5 (9 x 12.5 cm) fold-over card with envelope
• rubber stamp embossed with the message “Thanks” or “Thank you”
• brown ink pad
• six small silk leaves, with stems approximately 1” (2.5 cm) long
• craft glue
• three buttons in a mix of colors

STEP 1. Working with the rubber stamp and the brown ink pad, firmly stamp the message in the upper right hand corner of the fold over card.
STEP 2. Fold one leaf slightly on its stem. Glue this leaf on the card. Make sure the leaf does not hang off the side of the card. The stem should reach the bottom edge.
STEP 3. Feed the stem of one of the leaves up and through one of the buttons.

STEP 4. Fold the remaining end of the stem behind the button so only the leaf is sticking out.
STEP 5. Glue the button with the attached leaf onto the leaf that is already glued to the card. There should be a leaf on both sides of the button, to create the button flower.
STEP 6. Repeat steps 2 through 5, first on the right side of the card and then at the center. When you’ve finished, you’ll have three cheery flowers “growing” on the front of your thank-you note. Add your message inside.
