Monogram Wreath

Monogram Wreath
This is a lovely way to proudly display the bride and groom's new shared monogram (or you can display one initial for each last name). This personalized floral makes beautiful signage for leading guests to the door of the rehearsal dinner or reception. You can hang it on a fence, doorway, or even a tree trunk with a decorative ribbon in the color of your choice. Any flower with small, compact blossoms will work well. Red, white, and rosy flowers add an especially romantic touch.

Here are the materials you will need to make one monogram wreath:

• 16" x 20" (40.5 x 51 cm) piece of poster board
• delphinium blossoms in light and dark rose tones (ten stems’ worth)
• large letter template (optional)
• hot glue gun and glue sticks
• decorative ribbon in color of your choice
• pencil
• scissors

STEP 1. With the pencil, draw a large, freehand letter of the bride and groom's monogram onto poster board, (If you prefer, you can trace a template of the letter.) Choose a fancy, formal script or a simpler shape, depending on the style of the rest of your wedding decor.
STEP 2. Cut out the letter with scissors.

STEP 3. Working with the hot glue gun, glue the blossoms onto the surface of the letter. Arrange the flowers so the dark and light shades create a pleasing pattern. Be sure to cover the edges of the paper well. Let the glue set completely.
STEP 4. To display the monogram wreath, loop the ribbon around the top at center. After you've attached the wreath to the perfect spot, tie the ribbon with a big showy bow.
